An invitation to relax: We would like to invite you to come and stay with us at the Meadview RV Park and Rentals. If peace and quiet in a tranquil setting are what your jangled nerves call for, then this is the place. We are located at mile post 34 just south of the small community of Meadview - at the junction of Pierce Ferry Road and Sandview Drive.

Facilities: All our RV sites have full hookups (electric, water, sewer) and are 28 feet wide by 50 feet long. There is plenty of additional parking space for extra vehicles, boats, etc. Each site has a picnic table and trash can.  All sites have hookups for a telephone (connection to be arranged with the phone company by the occupant). There is pay phone in the center of the park.  Below the sites is a large open dry wash area for exercising pets. TV reception of five Phoenix network channels is quite good with RV antennas.

In addition to the RV sites we have rental cabins - click on Rentals. And dry camping area with rest rooms.

Location: We are a private park inside the Lake Mead National Recreation Area and only 12 miles from the concrete boat ramp at South Cove and the boat launch area at Pierce Ferry. (Pierce Ferry ramp is temporarily closed) (for information about personal watercraft on Lake Mead click here). We are just 26 miles from the West Rim of the Grand Canyon.

Meadview is a quiet retirement community surrounded by federal land (BLM and NPS). It is the closest access to Lake Mead, the largest man made lake in the United States.

We are the closest RV Park to the Grand Canyon Overlook at the West End of the Grand Canyon - for more information click here.

Directions: From Las Vegas go east on highway 93 across Hoover Dam or from Kingman go west on highway 93.  On highway 93 turn north at mile post 42 on to Pierce Ferry Road and drive to mile post 34. Pierce Ferry Road is county highway 25 and is paved the entire length. The park is located a couple of hundred yards off the pavement, with easy access in and out.   FYI: RV Park GPS Coordinates:  N 35° 56.410' x W 114°05.208'.  For information on the Hoover Dam bypass project go to http://www.hooverdambypass.org/whats_new.htm  . For restrictions on Hoover dam  click here.

Services available: Most of the services that you might require are available just 6 miles away in Meadview: Gasoline, diesel,  propane, groceries, post office, religious services, some auto repair, boat repair, restaurants, ATM, etc. (And, of course, our Cozy Cabin Rentals).

Mini-Storage units.  Each unit is 5'x10' and rent for $1.50 per day

Our storage building accommodates up to three units (boats, RVs, etc.) with maximum size of 8ft wide by 30ft long. Combination lock assures 24/7 access. While there is good security, we built this storage facility with maximum ventilation to reduce heat damage from the summer sun.

There is space available right now for one unit.

Rate is $2.00 per day.

Our Mini-Laundromat is now available for our customers - also rest room/shower facility.  So bring your tent and your dirty clothes and enjoy!

Wi-Fi is up and running, and it's FREE!.  A number of our customers have been getting access to the Internet via our Wi-Fi installation. Wi-Fi lets you access the internet (e-mails, surfing, etc.) without having to connect to the phone lines. Most newer portable computers with Microsoft XL operating system have the capability of receiving Wi-Fi already installed. For most desktop computer and older laptops/notebooks you will require a wireless adapter on your computer.  We have a limited number of adapters for laptops/notebooks and desk top computers available in our office. These adapters are pretty well universal and will work where ever you go that has this service.

Lake Mead NRA Advisory

Hoover Dam traffic update

  • Since April 15, 2002, Recreational Vehicles have been allowed to cross Hoover Dam if the vehicles and contents can be "easily inspected" (whatever that means!). If an officer at the Dam's checkpoints believes any vehicle is a threat, that vehicle will not be allowed to cross.

  • Also note that you cannot transport more than 25 gallons of fuel in cans over the dam.

  • Boats cannot approach closer than one-half mile to the dam on the downstream (river) side and approximately one mile on the upstream (reservoir) side.

Hoover Dam Bypass Project is a 3.5-mile corridor beginning at approximately milepost 2.2 in Clark County, Nevada and crossing the Colorado River approximately 1,500 feet downstream of the Hoover Dam, then terminating in Mojave County, Arizona near milepost 1.7 on U.S. 93.
